Verification and interviews

What kind of verification happens?

Shortlisted candidates go through a verification process that includes document checks and interviews. Documents are reviewed manually, and in a later phase, also through OCR-based (Optical Character Recognition) checks to validate the authenticity and accuracy of submitted marksheets, certificates, and other proofs. 

Alongside this, interviews are conducted to further validate the information provided in the application - these may take the form of a telephonic conversation, a recorded video submission, or an interview with a panel, depending on the stage and category of the applicant.

Applications that are flagged or show mismatches between submitted information and supporting documents are routed for manual review by the team, rather than being processed automatically. 

As part of this, the Programme also applies dedicated fraud-prevention checks, including detection of duplicate applications and screening for forged, tampered, or digitally manipulated documents and media, to ensure that only genuine and accurately represented applications proceed further in the selection process.
