Do I need an SBI bank account?

No, having an SBI bank account is not mandatory.

  • Applicants with accounts in any bank in India are eligible to apply.

  • However, an SBI bank account is preferred, as it may help ensure smoother and faster scholarship disbursement.

  • If you use a bank account from another bank, your application will still be considered, provided the account details are valid and correct.

Whose bank account should I provide?

The bank account provided must meet the following requirements:

  • The bank account should be in the applicant's name.

  • The account details entered in the application must exactly match the bank passbook or official bank records.

  • If the applicant is a minor, a joint account with a parent or legal guardian is acceptable.

  • Bank accounts held solely in the name of the parent or guardian will not be accepted.

  • Ensure all bank details are accurate to avoid delays in scholarship disbursement.
