How is my Scholarship Amount Decided?

The scholarship amount is determined based on the scholarship category you are eligible for and apply to.  

Applicants cannot choose or request a different scholarship amount.

• The scholarship amount is predefined for each scholarship category.
• The amount awarded depends entirely on the category for which you are found eligible.
• For example, applicants applying under the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, IIT, IIM, Medical, or Overseas category will be considered for the scholarship amount specified for that category.
• Applicants cannot select a higher or lower scholarship amount during the application process.
• The scholarship amount is determined only after your eligibility has been verified and your application has been successfully shortlisted.
• During the application process, you may be asked to provide details of your course fee and other educational expenses, such as hostel fees, books, study materials, examination fees, equipment, or travel expenses, wherever applicable.
• These financial details help the scholarship programme understand your educational requirements and verify the information provided in your application.
• Providing course fee information does not change the scholarship amount applicable to your category.
• Applicants should ensure that all fee-related information entered in the application form is accurate and supported by valid documents, wherever required.
• The final scholarship award is subject to successful document verification and fulfilment of all eligibility criteria under the respective scholarship category.

Can I apply under more than one scholarship category?

No. An applicant can submit only one application under one scholarship category that matches their current academic qualification or course of study.

• Select the scholarship category that corresponds to the course or class you are currently pursuing.
• Applicants should carefully read the eligibility criteria before starting the application.
• Do not submit applications under multiple scholarship categories, even if you believe you may be eligible for more than one.
• Multiple applications submitted by the same applicant may lead to confusion during verification and may result in the application being rejected or considered invalid, as per the programme guidelines.
• Ensure that all academic and personal information entered in the application matches the eligibility requirements of the selected category.
• Supporting documents uploaded with the application should also correspond to the scholarship category being applied for.
• If you are unsure which scholarship category is applicable, review the eligibility criteria available on the scholarship portal before proceeding with your application.
• Once the application has been submitted, changing the scholarship category will not be permitted.
• Applicants should verify all information carefully before final submission to avoid errors or delays during the selection process.
