To be eligible for the SBI Asha Scholarship, applicants must be Indian nationals enrolled in an eligible class or course and meet the prescribed academic and family income requirements for their category.

The scholarship has seven categories—School, Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), Medical, IIT, IIM, and Overseas. Each category has its own eligibility requirements related to the course, institution, marks and family income.

How do I know which Category I fit?

Before registering, use the Eligibility Checker on the Platform. By answering a few simple questions about your course, institution, academic performance and family income, you can identify the category you may be eligible for and avoid applying under the wrong category.

Where can I find the exact requirements?

The detailed eligibility requirements are explained in separate articles:

  • Minimum Marks Required
  • Family Income Limit
  • Which Institutions Qualify for Higher-Education Categories

Details about reservation benefits and marks relaxation are available in the Reservation & Relaxations section.

Applicants should carefully check the requirements for their category before submitting the application.
