The SBI Asha Scholarship is designed to support deserving students from economically weak families. Since the scholarship is awarded based on both academic merit and financial need, submission of a valid Income Certificate is a mandatory requirement for all applicants.
As per the programme guidelines, school applicants must belong to families with a gross annual income of up to ₹3,00,000, while college applicants must have a gross annual family income of up to ₹6,00,000. To verify this eligibility, applicants are required to submit an Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Department or any other competent Government Authority.
Applications submitted without a valid Income Certificate will be considered incomplete and will not be processed for further evaluation. Other forms of financial proof, such as salary slips, self-declarations, bank statements, or affidavits, cannot be accepted as substitutes unless specifically approved under the programme guidelines. Students are advised to obtain the required Income Certificate well before the application deadline to avoid delays or rejection of their application. Ensuring that the document is valid, up to date, and issued by the appropriate government authority is the responsibility of the applicant.
Only applications fulfilling this mandatory documentation requirement, along with all other eligibility criteria, will be considered for the SBI Asha Scholarship selection process.
