Parent's Government-Issued Documents for School Applicants

The SBI Asha Scholarship Programme recognizes that students studying in Classes 9 to 12 may not possess certain government-issued identity documents in their own name, such as a PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving Licence. To facilitate a smooth application process, such applicants are permitted to use the corresponding government-issued documents of their parent or legal guardian, wherever required in the application.

This provision is applicable only to school applicants who do not have these documents in their own name. However, if the student possesses any of the required government-issued documents, they are encouraged to provide their own details in the application.

It is important to note that this relaxation applies only to government-issued identity documents other than the Aadhaar Card. Wherever the application specifically requires the student's Aadhaar details, applicants must provide the student's own Aadhaar information, if available, in accordance with the programme requirements.

Applicants should ensure that all details entered in the application are accurate and that the supporting documents uploaded are clear, valid, and correspond to the information provided. Submission of incorrect, mismatched, or invalid documents may result in delays during the verification process or affect the application's eligibility for further consideration.

This provision has been introduced solely to assist school students who do not yet possess certain government-issued identity documents while ensuring a fair and seamless application process.
