If you pay no school fees, or have no income proof

I study at a government school and pay no fees. What do I submit instead of a fee receipt?

If your school charges no tuition or academic fees, you won't have a fee receipt — and that's fine. You can submit a signed self-declaration instead, similar to a bonafide certificate. Several students did exactly this last year. It should state where you study and that no fees are payable, and be signed by you and stamped/signed by your school or college. You can use the format below:

DECLARATION

I am currently studying at __________________________________________.

No tuition or academic fees are charged/payable by me; therefore, no fee receipt is available.

I request that this declaration be accepted in lieu of a fee receipt.

Student Name: ____________________________

School/College Stamp/Signature: _______________________________

I'm an orphan. Do I need to provide family income details and proof?

No. If you select orphan status in your application, the family income and family income proof fields no longer apply to you — they become optional. A document confirming your status may be requested.

I have no earning family member. What do I provide for income proof?

You can submit a certificate from a local government authority or recognised institution confirming your situation, along with a no-income affidavit or a letter explaining your financial circumstances.
